Selected.

LAPSE is an OFFICIAL SELECTION OF THE SEATTLE TRUE INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL!

I am very proud to announce that Seattle True Independent Film Festival (STIFF) has selected LAPSE to screen as part of their 2011 program. STIFF is held in various theaters in downtown Seattle from June 3 through June 12. Programming schedules will be announced near the beginning of May.

Here is a little bit about STIFF (from their webpage):

The Seattle True Independent Film Festival is dedicated to the exhibition of independent, underground, experimental and zero budget films. The festival endeavors to provide cultural exchange and educational opportunities by bring a diverse selection of films to the area and provide a place for networking between local filmmakers, visiting filmmakers and the public.

Established by filmmakers, STIFF aims to be Seattle's own Slamdance, determined to offer a vehicle for truly independent and underground films. For the past seven years, STIFF has delivered a unique brand of programming that sticks to those guiding principles, and Seattle's famously adventurous audiences have happily benefited. The Festival has gained a considerable amount of traction and has been billed as a unique platform for quality "True Independent" films without big stars or studio resources. The Stranger's Andrew Wright hails STIFF, likening it to "a belch in church" and adds, "and I mean this in the best possible way."
